His work in Hospitality and Restaurant Design started in 1994 leading to his own practice in 1998. He has experience in the studios of Peter Niemitz, David Rockwell, Adam Tihany, and AvroKO. His own practice has evolved many successful international brands including Coi, Plum, Sushi Samba, Lotus, and Gramercy New York. His award-winning work has been widely published.
Scott graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Art History in 1985. He received his M. Arch. from the Harvard GSD in 1989 where he built his thesis project on Gund Hall. His career pursuit has been to develop Handmade Architecture—combining the craft and personal touch of custom fabrication with the foresight required of traditional design and planning.
